What more can I say?

I'm at 984 hits right now without this post in one month. As I sit here in the lobby of my building as to break the monotony of just surviving, no moving and shaking, I ask myself "Who are all these people hitting my blog?"

Not that I'm too concerned with hits per say. All I care about is calls and checks, but it's still good to know someone is listening or reading.

I'm actually having fun with this blogger blog. I also have blogs on WordPress.org [self hosted WordPress], WordPress.com, Tumblr and a few others. Although I'm having the most fun with blogger currently.

I believe with this post I will go over 1,000 hits and that is pretty good to me being that I just launched it. I'm not even really sharing it too much, mainly because I erased all my Facebook friends cause they weren't really friends and like 50 Cent says, "If I ain't getting money with you..."

I feel like I'm at a major cross roads in my life right now, like so many others and it's time to get the party started once and for all.

Thank you to all my clients and all of you who were generous to cut me checks, I did my best for you and  my goal is to bring a huge amount of value to the table anytime someone hires me. Especially because the majority of my business comes from referrals.

Without going into a sales pitch like I most always do I will say this one thing. All this marketing and Internet business is still relatively new. People learn a few tricks or resources and think they have everything figured out which is not the case.

To the people that may be considering working with me, I say this. The majority of people, businesses, providers do not have it figured out. My job is to figure it out for you and help grow your company.

Web, mobile, social. Take another look. You may have missed something.

Update: It's over 1,000. Thank you all, it's the road to a million hits. Not sure if this is the blog I'm going to do it on, but I'm rocking with this one for now.

Letter to All Clients and Potentials

So many times I hear from customers or potential customers how they were short changed from former web designers and marketers. They say, "Oh, I've been robbed if you prove yourself I'll do the right thing."
What do I say to that? Do you mean after I hang up the phone on them? Just kidding, no I'm not.

The truth of the matter is there are good and bad in my business, like every business. One thing I do see though is even when I do an amazing job for people who may or may not have been taken advantage of in the past, they sabotage themselves. Oh yes, they sabotage them selves and the project.

How so?

This is how. Because they are only checking in on the project every once in a while and they are not web professionals, they act on whatever emotion they are feeling at the time.

For example, in a good mood? Everything is great. In a bad mood? Oh, this needs to be changed, that needs to be changed, etc.

I'm not claiming that I am always right, I'm usually right. I'm not emotionally tied to your project and I do this day in and day out.

What I'm saying is this. Don't react to your emotions right away. Look at the big picture. If you don't like something we'll change it, success happens in levels and we will get there.

It's 2013, for me to create a hot or professional looking site is a piece of cake. Same with mobile site. My main focus after creating site and mobile site is to provide online exposure to your business.

In a perfect world, once your site is completed and we start to gain customers for your business, we can go back and design the hell out of it.

If you have the budget right now to create a master piece website, god bless you, lets get it. But, if your on a budget and want to create a monster digital foundation, try not to lose your head. It discourages whomever your working with and you will lose sight of the big picture.

I'm not asking you to compromise your brand in any way. Just realize the odds of finding someone like me are low and if you have me lets grow your business together. It's not me vs you, we are a team.

The better you look, the better I look and the more money we both make.

The Resume

I created and marketed a blog for a client with a few hundred dollar budget and it reached 13,000 on Alexa at it's peak. There may be millions of web, mobile, social marketers, although not too many of them have accomplished millions of hits with no budget in my opinion.

I have helped market funded sites who receive millions of hits, although doing it with no money was a lot more surprising.

During my twenties I worked for real estate companies in NYC and an Internet start up.

Since then I have worked for two additional start ups and ultimately began to freelance for SMB's. I feel as if I bring enterprise level fire power and strategies to small and medium businesses and wanted to throw my hat in the ring to work for a bigger company or franchise.

I have provided marketing services for doctors, lawyers, restaurants, bars, construction companies, etc.

The goal is always to bring a few game changers to the table.

The significance of the MLB video is I hit home runs for customers.

Matt Mullenweg : Founder of WordPress

Matt is one of the true beasts of the Internet. His software creates the hottest sites. It is also great for mobile sites, although he has some stiff competition on the mobile site side.

Click here for an example of the mobile site competition.

Back to the sites, WordPress is amazing. I've mastered it, I love it and anyone that talks negatively about it is out of their mind. I know a lot of you are saying who talks bad about WordPress? You would be amazed.

I can't tell you how many times I'm bidding for jobs and the other designer is swearing to the client about WordPress being garbage.

OK, that's why Facebook and a slew of others have created custom plugins for WordPress. Cause they do that for every content management system. I don't think so. You may be able to use the standard social integration on other platforms, but I don't see them creating specific applications like this for everyone.

When it comes to e commerce there are a few good competitors, maybe even better than WordPress. For a typical brochure type of corporate site and blogs it's number one.

On the flip side, in the interview it's said 17% of all sites in existence are using WordPress. Out of the 17% I'd say about 17% are using it properly.

One tip I can confidently add in here is hosting. WordPress takes a specific quality of hosting to function at it's peak. Call me, see you.

The Best Friend You Ever Had

I may be the best friend you ever or never had on the net. I go hard in every situation. With all due respect when it comes to small and medium business marketing I'll go pound for pound with anyone on this earth.

Let me explain. I can bring in a ton of targeted hits to your site. Either paid through AdWords, Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and or help generate traffic from blogging and social media.

From outside a local coffee shop, smoking a cigarette, I can make it happen.

Again for the sake of my lawyer and future liability, every job has to be accessed on a case by case basis and results may vary, but damn it, I'm putting the art in this article.

Back to the bravado, if you don't like it please flip to another post about do it yourself iPhone apps, email collectors or something. There is a lot of valuable info in this blog besides the best you never had.

I cringe when people spend all their time and energy just to create a website. Seriously? Is that what's popping in small and medium business marketing right now?

Hell no!

A website is the easy part, it's all the easy part.

I'm similar to a concierge at a five star hotel. I create the entire digital foundation for your company. There are several layers that no one will ever see besides us that will assist in our digital marketing efforts.

I go through every single piece of the puzzle with you and tie it all together.

Are you seriously not collecting email addresses on your site? Part 2

If your not collecting emails on your site, please shut it down right now. Just kidding, no I'm not.

The main companies who assist you in collecting emails I like are:

MailChimp

iContact

AWeber

Constant Contact

Having people subscribe to your email list is as valuable in my opinion as someone following you on Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can keep people up to speed with important events involving your company, specials, deals and new blog posts.

The Twilight Zone

I bet you thought I forgot about you today, hell no. I'm back.

OK, I'd like to call the post twilight zone. The theme of this article is people tell me all the time they have to wait forever for changes on their sites before they met me, plus it's impossible to get anyone on the phone.

So most web services providers are impossible to get on the phone, me, you can't get off the phone.

I like to take my time with clients and iron out every detail slowly so everyone is on the same page.

I mean, this is money we are talking about for both of us, it's not a game. If we play our cards right, you'll make money on your investment and I'll be able to pay my rent one more month.

I don't plan on doing this forever, I'd like to create my own blogs and sites eventually. That means my client's are going to get my full attention or I won't take the job.

It's only a matter of time before my career goes totally on fire, because of the results I have provided and will continue to provide every company I work with.

I look at every job as an opportunity to prove myself to the world.

Swing for the fences is the motto.

Literally I'm waiting for all my clients to call me back and I'll spend hours on the phone with them going through the particulars of their project and training them how to be as involved with their project as they would like.

In short I'm living in the twilight zone, is anybody out there? Hello!

Indecent Proposal

It's easy to quote corporate website and marketing jobs when a business is already successful. A lot of times companies are doing everything right except the net and it's a slam dunk. For me the web is the easy part, so if I have a solid company to work with it's a piece of cake to improve the user experience and provide online exposure.

The other side of the coin is when I get calls from new companies with amazing potential on a limited budget. They realize how important the web is to their future growth, although they don't have a lot to spend.

I will gladly work with start up companies and give them the edge they need. The deal is lets be fair and map out exactly what both of our expectations are and make it happen.

I can run you though all the basics in creating your digital foot print, site, mobile site, social, ad campaigns, graphics and more. The whole process can take anywhere from a week to ten days.

Chrome Operating System

Google Chrome has created a new operating system called Chrome OS. Virus protection is already included and it loads faster then other operating systems you may be used to.

With the easy integration of services like Google search, Gmail and YouTube it has already became the operating system of choice for me.

I'm using a Google Chromebook now and I like it a lot. For more on the Chromebook visit Google Play and click on devices.

I Create Your Digital Foot Print

Creating a digital foot print for a business or client consists of website, mobile site, social media profiles, ad campaigns and a few other pieces. It's 2013, I don't just build you a site and say, "You now have the tail light guarantee." Once you can not view the tail lights on my car, the guarantee is over.

I set up your entire company online as if it is my own. There is an order in which you have to create certain accounts. It's very simple when I do it all for you, because I have done it numerous times for a lot of brands.

There are a few key points to remember. The initial foundation of everything is one part. For a lot of companies having a proper formation of all their web resources with a little bit of maintenance is enough. You can get pretty far with it, technically there is no limit to how far you can go.

Most organizations have still not reached the point of clarity and in my opinion won't reach it for years. Let me explain a little better. When you have a proper corporate WordPress site with blog, a separate mobile site that appears when visitors access your site from a mobile phone, social accounts organized, all Google accounts aligned and a few ad campaigns; that is a solid foundation.

All you have to do is post occasionally on the blog and social media, keep a credit card on AdWords, Yelp and Facebook, and your going to gain new customers at whatever rate you can afford.

What will put you on another level is to post more consistently on the blog and social accounts, plus create bigger budgets on your pay per click campaigns.

The majority of small and medium companies have not gotten it down pat yet, but when I spoon feed the information to you and train either yourself or whoever in your office is in charge of online marketing, it becomes extremely easy all of a sudden.

I can not count the amount of people who have met me or worked with me one way or another that now are marketers for a living.

The fact of the matter is if you are thinking about doing this for a living, I'd be happy to train you for a reasonable amount depending on when you read this. If you catch this post in the next month or so, very reasonable. If your reading this article in a year from now and I forgot to take it down, that's a different story.

Are you seriously not collecting email address on your site?

There are a few leading companies who allow you to collect emails in a professional fashion. iContact is one of them.
