What do I say to that? Do you mean after I hang up the phone on them? Just kidding, no I'm not.
The truth of the matter is there are good and bad in my business, like every business. One thing I do see though is even when I do an amazing job for people who may or may not have been taken advantage of in the past, they sabotage themselves. Oh yes, they sabotage them selves and the project.
How so?
This is how. Because they are only checking in on the project every once in a while and they are not web professionals, they act on whatever emotion they are feeling at the time.
For example, in a good mood? Everything is great. In a bad mood? Oh, this needs to be changed, that needs to be changed, etc.
I'm not claiming that I am always right, I'm usually right. I'm not emotionally tied to your project and I do this day in and day out.
What I'm saying is this. Don't react to your emotions right away. Look at the big picture. If you don't like something we'll change it, success happens in levels and we will get there.
It's 2013, for me to create a hot or professional looking site is a piece of cake. Same with mobile site. My main focus after creating site and mobile site is to provide online exposure to your business.
In a perfect world, once your site is completed and we start to gain customers for your business, we can go back and design the hell out of it.
If you have the budget right now to create a master piece website, god bless you, lets get it. But, if your on a budget and want to create a monster digital foundation, try not to lose your head. It discourages whomever your working with and you will lose sight of the big picture.
I'm not asking you to compromise your brand in any way. Just realize the odds of finding someone like me are low and if you have me lets grow your business together. It's not me vs you, we are a team.
The better you look, the better I look and the more money we both make.
