Matt Mullenweg : Founder of WordPress

Matt is one of the true beasts of the Internet. His software creates the hottest sites. It is also great for mobile sites, although he has some stiff competition on the mobile site side.

Click here for an example of the mobile site competition.

Back to the sites, WordPress is amazing. I've mastered it, I love it and anyone that talks negatively about it is out of their mind. I know a lot of you are saying who talks bad about WordPress? You would be amazed.

I can't tell you how many times I'm bidding for jobs and the other designer is swearing to the client about WordPress being garbage.

OK, that's why Facebook and a slew of others have created custom plugins for WordPress. Cause they do that for every content management system. I don't think so. You may be able to use the standard social integration on other platforms, but I don't see them creating specific applications like this for everyone.

When it comes to e commerce there are a few good competitors, maybe even better than WordPress. For a typical brochure type of corporate site and blogs it's number one.

On the flip side, in the interview it's said 17% of all sites in existence are using WordPress. Out of the 17% I'd say about 17% are using it properly.

One tip I can confidently add in here is hosting. WordPress takes a specific quality of hosting to function at it's peak. Call me, see you.
